It pays to shop around for insurance

My car insurance is due in march on my Mazda mx5.I received my renewel notice and it had increased to £303 fully comp(i am getting on a bit if you think this is cheap.)
Anyway i checked on !!!!!!!!!!!!!! and found a quote of £191 with £100 excess instead of £200!!As my car is insured through work i asked them what they could do and they matched it,we are supposed to get a discount anyway!!!
The moral is shop around,even if you think the quote is ok,if mine had not gone up by £30 on the original renewal, i would have just paid it.My father has bettered his by £61 and he has been with the same firm for years and could not be bothered changing,he is doing now.
