Free Blister Packs for those on Medication

Options
http://www.medicineblisterpacks.co.uk/

This pharmacy (part of the NHS) will re-package tablets into easy blister-packs with the days of the week printed on them (like they do with the contraceptive pill)

and mail you your medication.

All completely free. Great if you're on long-term medication and often forget whether you have taken it or not!

You can also have your medication mailed to you free.

Free samples available too.

Why not just buy a 7/28 day pill dispenser?

It will last for years and save on unnecessary packaging going to landfill:T

not everyone has someone to fill up the pill dispenser for them.
I think these are an excellent idea for the elderly or absent minded.

I'm on lifetime medication, and even though I'm young, it's become so ingrained into my routine, that I often find it hard to remember whether I've taken it or not. It's a bit like forgetting whether you've locked the front door. :D

I get the medication in blister packs anyway (I have no choice in the matter), they just put the days of the week onto it for me (I used to resort to writing it on myself with biro and getting the ink transferred onto my hands every morning) ... so it really can made life a lot easier.

Well, like medication you pick up ar the pharmacy, you get a large supply in one go, and they send out the packages early. Postal strikes last for 3-5 days max and we're always given plenty of warning about when they will be taking place.

Medication is usually sent on recorded to prevent it from getting into the wrong hands!

My local Boots & Lloyds Chemists will also do this for you. They can also arrange to pick up your prescription from your doctors so all you have to do is order medication in the normal way & pick up blister packs from pharmacy. Well worth asking about, especially if you have elderly relatives who can get easily confused.

What if you can't remember what day it is in the first place?

Seriously though I wouldn't trust any 3rd party company with mailing me my repeat prescriptions, not only is there risk of theft, but at least your local chemist will have your history on file and can instantly prevent any drug contradictions.
  • I have signed my parents up for this service and have been using it for a few months, I’ve found it to be excellent and much better than the service I was getting from my local chemist who never had anything my parents needed in stock!

It’s great for people who are bad at taking their medication on time, if this doesn’t help you nothing will.
