Anyone help with an ATAG boiler?

We have an ATAG Premier Boiler. The gas service engineer always tells me its the dogs b*llocks, but Im not convinced. Ive had a few problems with it because it seems way too clever for its own good.
Yesterday morning the heating didnt come on. It was showing a low pressure reading so I topped it up. Then reset the boiler. The heating came on, but we had intermittent hot water! What I mean by this is sometimes I would get half a bowl of hot water then nothing, other times nothing at all. Something to note, the pressure was fluctuating from 1.7 to 2.5 and at one point it was flashing high. That has stopped now. The heating is now on, still no continuous hot water, but the boiler is showing 7 on the LED which the instructions interpret as "pump overrun phase for central heating". It alternates between this and 6 "burner off when room thermostat is demanding". Sometimes it is on 3 "burner active on central heating".
The instructions dont tell you what to do if you have this problem. Obviously the boiler is switched to water and central heating, so I would expect to get both.
Any knowledge of this marvellous piece of German engineering?
Please?

ATAG are Dutch not German. The boilers are great when they work, but not many heating engineers know how to service them, and Atag UK's own customer service is pretty useless in my experience. (We have had intermittent problems with our boiler for the last 3 years. Plumbers either don't show up when they know it's an ATAG or they want to charge you an arm and a leg for all sorts of extra parts that "might be worth adding to the system".)0

I am, for my sins, an ATAG 'select dealer' as they call us.
I have only been involved with them for the past 18 months and only have limited experience on their 'E' series.
I assume the 'Premier' is a combi?
If the pressure is fluctuating that bad I would be looking a a blockage of some sort.
Does your hot water run hot/cold/hot/cold, half a bowl at a time?0 -
Hi
Can I ask your advice? Currently I have a Vokera mynute 35e which is 5 years old and giving nothing but trouble. The boiler is on its 2nd heat exchanger and has suffered from other component failure all of its short life. I am considering purchasing an ATAG Q38s due to its claimed efficiency, it is a system boiler that I require as I have 3 bathrroms in the property. Are their any approved installers in East of Scotland? I am able to have the boiler fitted by a very competent plumber but he does not have gas safe certification. I would then have to complete the commisioning of the boiler by a gas safe certified person. Any advice would be most welcome.0
