Problem with getting my money back from seller not sending item

hi
i recently purchased an item from a seller and they said they would send the item. a couple weeks later i found out they went into administration and so i opened a paypal dispute as i had not got a response or my item. finally they responded and said i should close the dispute and the would send the item as they had it in the wharehouse. nothing happened for two weeks and they said they had no record of my item ever being there. i cannot open a new paypal dispute but i am working on it.
surely this would be regarded as fraud as they said they had and were sending my item yet they never actually had it?
WHAT SHOULD I DO??????
cheers

Uhoh. You should never close a dispute.
Phone paypal if you haven't yet - tell them the seller tricked you into closing the dispute, and see what they say.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I am at a loss to sugegst anything here at all. Did you by any chance fund your paypal purchase via a credit card as if so you can go to them for help, otherwise all you can do, if it is worth it, is try the small claims court.
Only 1 paypal dispute/chargeback can be opened per transaction and before you cancel it they do ask you to tick to say that it has been resolved..as this wasn't resolved at that point the dispute should have stayed open.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
