Accident with 3rd party insurance

Hi, I have 3rd party, fire and theft insurance. i recently had an accident after skidding on some ice downhill and bumping a car waiting to turn right, from behind.
I realise that after all the paper work has gone in etc this will go probably go down as my fault. I had the car fixed immediately knowing that I was 3rd party and it would have to be done anyway.
On the forms sent through however, the insurance company (Quinn) ask for details of the damage and a preferred time for an assessor to come out and see the damage done to my car. Does anyone know if this will happen or if they send the same for everyone and it only applies to fully comp drivers?
If this will happen will I get hassle from Quinn for fixing it before the report and statement had been submitted?
Also with the accident being due to ice is there any chance that the insurance company will say it wasn't my fault - even though I went into the back of an effectively stationary car? and even if they do will it effect anything (ie, is it worth me fighting my corner a little) such as future premiums?
Thanks in advance

Shouldn't really be a problem that you've fized the car. Liability isn't in dispute and they shouldn't really want to inspect it unless they suspect a fraudulent claim.
As for fault/non-fault - on the evidence presented it's clear cut fault on your part, unfortunately. You have to drive appropriately for the conditions.0 -
Thanks, just as I suspected with it being my fault.
Cheers for the info on fixing the car, was just worried as I've heard horror stories about insurance companies taking the mick when people don't follow the terms and conditions to the letter!0
