Put all the items in a folder, left click on the folder and use "send to.." and then "compressed folder". The email this. If they are photos you may have to lower the size first, if you do need to let us know and we can tell you how to how this.0 -
If these are JPEG photos, they won't compress.
Or more exactly, they won't compress without loss, i.e. you'll need to convert them (save as) JPEG at lower quality.0 -
Just upload it to http://www.yousendit.com/ and send them the link.0

Goodness they are jpeg pics and I am worried about reducing them because he may then not be able to make them out. I guess that means I'd be best to burn them onto a cd and post? Do you think?0

Agreed.
Putting them into a compressed/zipped folder will mean that you only have one file to send - which is helpful in itself.
But if it's the size of the files you're worrying about you may need to look at doing things differently.
Assuming you took the photos with a digital camera, they'll most likely be saved as JPG files on your machine, which means they're relatively well compressed already. This means you won't get much benefit from either changing their file type or by adding them to a compressed folder. The best way to reduce the size of them is to reduce the resolution of the images themselves...And installing the windows image resizer powertoy's probably the easiest way to do this...0 -
