Alloy Wheel refurb
Comments

It was nearly 10 years ago when I used Lester & they where £50 then
Nu-Luk last year wanted £165 per rim to polish the outer lip & black paint the inner spokes of my 18" split rims (9336 5000)
Bangor Auto Valet is around £40 a wheel (ask for Stevie 9147 1007)
All can usually be done in 24hrs ... easier if you've got spare rims whilst yours are away0 -
Anyone used or heard of a Bangor based guy called lee-8-ball-Auto or something similar?

I used this guy £240 for 4 wheels, had to leave the car with him for 2 days. He did a cracker job! Very pleased!

Anyone recommend someone who can refurb alloy wheels at a sensible cost?
They're 18 inch alloys and prices so far have ranged from £200+VAT to £280+VAT for the four so far. :eek:0 -
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but that is quite reasonable!0

^^^ Like Dave said and just to reiterate
In Bangor, speak to Stevie at Bangor Auto Valet (approx £30-50/rim excellent finish)
Carrick, call in to NuLuk Wheels (most expensive but best finish at £60/rim+Vat min)
Lisburn, Lister Engineering (been around for years, average price but quality job)0 -
I had mine done today at a reputable dealers I use all the time for servicing etc, they used a sub contractor.
I paid £220+vat and have to say that unless I get a full refund tomorrow I'm going to cancel the credit card payment (and send a cheque for the suspension work they did personally & properly) as the wheels were not cleaned at all, none of the corrosion was cleaned up and only the facings done, and very very poorly at that.
Obviously I didn't see the car before paying and as I got her out into the light I got more & more upset.
I am really livid, although I accept its not morally the garages fault, its is legally as it was sub contracted.
I'll have to have them all done again now and another day off work, what a waste of time & money.
If I find out the name of the wheel guy I'll name & shame.0
