Bessy, don't take this the wrong way but do you think you might have a problem with gambling?

The fact you say you play looking to recoup what you've lost is to me quite an alarming sign. You are playing with money you can't afford to lose, and your also chasing your losses!

If you want to recoup the money you've lost, gambling in any form isn't the way to do it. If you feel that you are 'due a win' or 'it's only a matter of time' then you really need to speak to a professional about this.

Please at least have a read of this site. :)

    Hi bessy

It's time to stop kicking yourself, stop calling yourself stupid. Which in the short and long term has the most benefits and enjoyment - bingo or what ever? Once you have worked that out store these feelings and bring them out when you need to

    Good luck and well done

Hi Bessy, I have literally only just joined today, been reading for a while tho :)...
Me and u about same age.. also have debt, also have mouths to feed, I also got stupidly addicted to Bingo online... Ive been over my bank statements and felt physically sick and disgusted with myself by the amount i have spent on it... it is so scary how much money i have chucked down the toilet... but i am now trying to move on... gamcare are good as above!!!! i dont think i'm cured yet, but have managed about a week without going on there... ive self excluded myself from loads of the sites, then i CANT go on!!!!
am trying really hard to save and pay off more, something always seems to kick me in the teeth tho, so i get easily distressed and scream at the walls!!!!
so i know how you feel... the people here all seem brilliant and supportive, so thats why ive taken the plunge to join today!! and i wanted to say to you Bessy that I understand about the bingo thing cuz that was my illness too...( i call it an illness ) and regard myself as in recovery!!!!!

    Hi All, newbie here,
I have taken the step and spoken to Payplan 2 days ago, they are calling me on Saturday to go through my soa. I think I need to do a DMP - will they insist I have to do an IVA or something or do I have the option to say I wanna do a DMP?. I have compiled a 3 page report showing all income and expenditure, creditors with account numbers and amounts, list of insurances I have with renwal dates (Why do they want these??), bank details etc etc.

I have a few questions - I bank with Barclays but dont owe them anything in my creditors list - although I have an O/D facility of £2310 which I use all the time. They have never in 20+ years of banking with them had anything to say anout the overdraft and I really do not want to change bank accounts. Will I be forced to change bank account?

I have debts of £25,000 with 6 credit cards (5 creditors) and wish to do a DMP. I can comfortably afford £300 per month after I have gone through my and my partners combined soa. The credit cards are in my name though, not hers, although she has her additional card on my accounts. Can I still do DMP with both our salaries?

Sorry for all the questions but im scared!!! lol
