Buy to Let Buildings Ins Help

Options
Hello

Is there a web search site ? or anything to get quotes for buildings cover on a tenanted house. The seach engine on this site ( and all I've googled ) relate to your own property.
Any help/info appreciated. I'm currently with ' More Than ' and it's due for renewal. I'm sure it can be beat but don't know where to look.

Thanks

    Anyone got any idea's ??

    Thanks
  • Hi,

    Try the independent brokers association

    https://www.biba.org.uk or

    0870 950 1790

I explained what I wanted to insure and they gave me a number of brokers to contact who were all very helpful.

I managed to get an online deal for this a year or two ago. Can't remember their name but try googling for commercial property insurance. Loads out there now. Had to make a claim on mine and they paid out no probs. They were also a good bit cheaper than the insurance I got via a local broker. Will PM you if I can find their details....no longer have the property!

  • Just wanted to add that speaking to a "real" person saved me hours of fruitless online questionnaires & was worth (slightly) extra to get exactly what I wanted, tailored to my own requirement.

Remembered the name of the site I used. You can get an online quote from this page.

Only thing I'm not sure of.... I am in Scotland (as are they) but I'm not sure if there is any legal differences for contracts for south of the border..maybe check the small print?
