Talk Talk were discouraging CPS Customers from BT for some time and were trying to get you to move your line rental to them.
They are now encouraging CPS again see:

Their 12 month contract for free and evening weekend calls is not a rolling one like BT,s and includes intl calls to many destinations. So this might suit some people better than BT,s offer or Primus Saver 2.

Whatever you do its not a good idea to move your line rental to Talk Talk.;)

Can anyone help me out to understand the Talktalk plan. I looked at the comparision of plans but the bit concerning UK calls was blank for all the offers! Can sometime tell me what if any cost are involved for uk calls not to other talktalk customers ?

My friend is thinking of changing to them for phone and internet. Why is it you have advised not to give up your BT line ?"The time is always right to do what is right"0 -

TalkTalk only offers 'free' evening/weekend calls if you switch your line rental to them - and then, only for a year, after which its £3.39 a month
If you want TalkTalk's CPS service, they also charge £3.39 a month for evening/weekend calls and don't waive the charge at all..

Sorry what does CPS mean ?
MMMM after looking on here about Talktalk I am not sure is the best thing for here moving to them for phone & internet maybe she should just add BT BB to here line. There seems to be someone telling you not to use every company it makes it hard to decide !"The time is always right to do what is right"0 -

There are numerous CPS calls providers now - please see the HERE link in my signature below.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

I spoke to TT Sales before i posted and they assured me that you could have Inclusive Evening and Weekend Calls Free for one year if you agree to a 12 month contract even if you only CPS your calls to them.
and I have just phoned them again and they confirmed this.0 -
Hi, Well i have just had a very nice deal from talktalk, I have been with talktalk for calls well over 5years and had my line rental with BT, i decided i would look for cheaper phone services the last week, I found one called yourcalls.net, So i phoned talktalk today telling them i was leaving them for yourcalls.net. They offered me a better deal than yourcalls.net, They bettered yourcalls prices by 50% for a call package including free anytime calls to uk 01, 02 numbers plus free caller display. I have tranferred my line rental over to them on a 12month contact. I am very happy the the price they have agreed with me. Pity bt could not treat customers in the same way.0

Wait untill he wants to change back.
Yes
The beauty of just cps ing your calls, and not moving your line rental, is that you dont have to worry about signing a new contract, or possible reconnection fees.Plus if your CPS providers call services fails you can still use BT via 1280.0 -
they are better than BT bandits, at least it's not a rolling 12 month contract like bt are going to do to get you to have free weekend calls.0
