Alliance & Leicester Premier Account/Quidco Question...

I see that on Quidco they're offering £50 if you open an Alliance and Leicester Premier current account. I could do with another current account so am thinking of opening one... I'm just wondering, is this one of those accounts that you have to pay for and is that why they're offering so much cashback? I can't see anything about a payment mentioned on the site but it seems too good to be true to me!
Also, I already have an esaver with them (didn't realise when I opened it that I could get £20 cashback!), do you think I'll get the cashback even though I'm already customer?
Thanks.

It's not a pay monthly account but you do need to pay in at least £500 per month to avoid incurring charges.0

Ahhh okay, well it's the Premier 21 account that I was looking at as I'm under 21. There doesn't seem to be any minimum requirement for that one. Wonder if it's just the over 21 one that they pay the cashback on... Worth a try I guess!0

A&L Premier acct offers an 0845 number while it's other current accts have 0870 only (and boy are they strict at enforcing this, even if you are abroad they force you to use +44 870...). So double the cost of phone-queuing on a non-Premier acct.0

I don't recommend them for actual banking. However, the account-opening process does not take too long, so give it a try and see if you get the cash-back. (As an ex-customer, I opened two savings account with them on-line and got cashback on them both, despite never putting in so much as a penny.)0

Do you not have to pay a charge or anything for not crediting the account every month?
Anyway I'm gonna open it through topcashback as it says you get £49.10 for the under 21 account :j0 -
you won't get any cashback on the esaver account btw. you have to go through quidco when purchasing a good/service to get the cashback and can't back date it.0

Call current acct via Credit Card freephone, sweet! Thx Yorkshireboy, wonder how long before they block this one!
But I then realized - no-one should call a number given on a forum thinking it is their bank - what a neat scam, acquire their pin while putting them through anyway... (PS the one u gave is genuine but PEOPLE SHOULD CHECK!)0 -

Yup I know, I missed out on the £20. Was kicking myself as 10 minutes after I applied I went on Quidco and saw that I could've gotten the cashback!0 -
u can get £49.10 cashback from opening the premier 21 account on topcashback. theres no fee either unlike quidco. so could open it, take the 49.10 then just leave it unused.0
