Talk Talk Contract

I have been with Talk Talk for nearly 3 years but I want to move to Sky as it would be better value for me. I have tried to cancel Talk Talk but apparently I signed up to a new 18 mont contract when I moved from the talk3 tarrif to the talk2 4 months ago. Is there any way I can get out of this or have they got me trapped into the contract?

Did you sign anything agreeing to this, or was it all done verbally.

They were trying to talk me into Talk3 but now I will steer clear.

It was done verbally, in fact I don't recall them mentioning the new 18 month contract.

    In that case i would call the Ofcom Advisory Team (their open Monday-Friday between 09:00 and 17:00) on 020 7981 3040 or 0300 123 3333 .

I moved my mum's tariff to Talk 3 Total last month and received an e-mail from Talk Talk stating that my mum would be subject to an 18 month contract as she was changing tariff, i kicked up a fuss about this with the Talk Talk Customer Relations Team and they agreed to change her tariff and she would not be subject to a new 18 month contract.

I got them to e-mail me this so I had a copy in writing.

The Customer Relations Team were very good to deal with and actually agreed that it was a bit of silly rule to start a new 18 month contract for simply changing tariff.

Give them a call and see how it goes.
