Ryanair baggage and checkin confusion

My partner booked return flights from From Liverpool (LPL) to Barcelona (Girona) for 2 adults and one child for the easter hols. Im unsure whats the deal with the baggage and check in.

Ive tried ringing Ryanair  . So have we paid to checkin at the airport and could we possibly have saved the £18 by checking in online? And have we been charged £18 for paying by Credit card?

57.00 GBP Total Fare
67.68 GBP Taxes, Fees & Charges
36.00 GBP Passenger Fee: BAG
18.00 GBP Passenger Fee: Airport Check in
18.00 GBP Passenger Fee: CC
196.68 GBP Total Paid

You have paid for airport check in and hold bags. And yes the £18 is die to having paid by CC- if you had used a debit card it wouldve been £6 (or free with Electron)

You can only check in onlinew if you are only carrying hand luggage- with other suitcases then you need to pay the airport checkin fee
  • I got charged £19 for Credit card payment, I pretty sure it wasn't made clear, it will have been mentioned but as always they sneek charges in everywhere.

Last time I book with them. They should be more up front with there costs!

Easyjet have just introduced charges for paying with credit card BUT it is per transaction so it is more easy to swallow than being charged per passenger!!! I won't travel with Ryanair either because their add ons are so much more expensive than other airlines

How do you get £6 for a debit card from? Makes no difference, debit or credit card.

That post was almost a year old so the costs may have been correct at the time (can't remember that far back).
