i keep seeing these free sky/sat tv on your pc adverts on ebay,,,whats the catch..does it really work,,,,,if it does,,can someone tell me how??

All this info is freely available around the net, and is discussed regularly on these forums. What you'll find is that you'll get a page opening with a 320x320 screen, which if you are tying to watch football is impossible (way too small), and the quality of the feed is dubious at best. Also, most of the feeds are from Asian channels, so you need to have a UK radio broadcast of the match running at the same time. Due to the delay in satellite transmission, decoding at server side, and then recoding at client side, the delays are about 10-15s between the radio broadcast and what you watch. This means that you know what happens before actually seeing it....... bloody annoying!
The quality of the actual satellite feed itself is also questionable. I have tried lots of these channels, and tbh, I wouldn't now waste the time. The connection keeps dropping, the feed is seriously pixellated, and the best solution is to sit in the bar. And for those who think it's my connection......I'm running 2Mb cable. It's more than adequate for this sort of thing.
Do yourself a favour and save your money. It's not worth it!

yep, waste of time. I tried this to watch the premmiership matches and found that most of the time I couldnt get connected as there was so much traffic and when I did get connected the quality was terrible. However, as nobody watched some of the other channels the quality on those can be good so if you like watching Japenses news channels its well worth it!

Have you tried coolstreaming.org. I used this for a great number of footy games last season and it was fantastic.

There are a number of streaming programs available if you have the time and inclination to search for them. All the adverts on ebay do is tell you what they are.

I tried the freelivefootball.co.uk site.
When I joined it was £1 per year...so it was worth it.

As more and more people joined, the quality goes down. the live football was usually sky showing the premiership..exactly the same as the english broadcast.

You need a fast connection / fast computor and lots of patience.
