online conveyancing firm who cover scotland.

hi as the title says, i am purchasing a new build semi detached villa, i need a lawyers name and firm name for friday, i am paying a reserve fee of £250 and need my lawyers details with me.

i hate the rates lawyers charge so im hoping to save a few quid by if possible using an online conveyancing firm, so please can you recommend me and companys that cover scotland and have a decent reputation.

any advice welcome on this matter :confused:

    I'm guessing that any online conveyancing site that covers both "England and Wales" and "Scotland" could only be an introducer. By all means get the quotes but a good portion of the "fees" will actually just go to the introducer.

    I'd say the fees a solicitor gets are far better value for money than an EA or Broker gets. At one point before EA's cottoned on to the percentage charge EA's and solicitors were on a par for fees. Nowadays I'd think a solicitor would be lucky to get 20% of the fees the EA makes and both EA's and Brokers are not nearly so regulated as the solicitors (in England and Wales anyway...)

    they quoted just over 2700 for the bauying and selling of the properties, the cheapest solicitor was just over 3000, so its saving me £300, better than nothing :D

    i would be even happier if it was not so flippin expensive:mad:
