San Eloy Apartments/hotel,near Tossa de Mar

Hi, has anyone been to this place? We have booked for July in a suite, does anyone know the layout of these? We are 2 adults and 2 teenagers, we don't really want all of us to be sleeping altogether in 1 room & the teenagers (brothers)won't be wanting to share a double bed either!! Hopefully there are 2 separate sleeping rooms with at least 1 with twin beds, fingers crossed.

We won't have a car either, any idea how much a taxi would be to return back From Tossa de mar in the evening?

1 other thing - the airport transfer/shuttle companies, will they be likely to drop us off & pick us up on return at the San Eloy bearing in mind that it's about 2 miles or so from Tossa or will we have to go into the town?

Any info appreciated.

No I have not, just the reviews I have heard and read are pretty good and as our party will have 8 kids I want somewhere, that I will have a holiday ( I get this by the kids all being happy). I keep checking out flighsts and my bank account to see if I have enough money sniff sniff!

Thanks Incapuppy, haven't seen that site so really useful.

We've got a "suite" whatever that is,but all the accommodations for 4 look like they'll be suitable.

Also noticed the room price on there is the same for s/c as what we paid for AI!;)

We stayed here in a suite 3 years ago, 1 dble bedroom for me and DH, 1 twin room for DS1, dble sofa bed in lounge for DS2, fab views of pool, and lovely roomy suite. Dont be put off by " castle like appearance/flags on arrival"!!!. Great food, lovely staff, lots to do on site. Hotel runs courtesy bus (free) to and from Tossa De Mar thro out day till about 9.00pm in eve. Cant help with transfers as we had airport transfer thro holiday company. Tossa De Mar is fab, lovely atmosphere and enjoyed by DS aged 15/19. Enjoy:D

Thanks for that reply, sounds just like what we're looking for, our DS's are also 15 & 19 so hopefully they'll enjoy it too.

The suite rooms sound huge! Hotel seems to have good reviews on the whole apart from being a bit out of the way.

Did you go on any good trips/excursions while you were there?

If you take the courtesy bus into Tossa the bus / coach station is five mins walk, we went to Barcelona twice. Also went on an organised trip to Montserat fab views and peacful atmosphere. DS enjoyed going into Tossa on their own via hotel bus. Loads of info in village re trips, we thought the ones organised by the rep were expensive. We had a pretty lazy holiday tho lots of time in the pools/sunbeds!!! Enjoy

Hi again - I don't suppose you remember if the rooms had a hair dryer or an iron ? Can't see it mentioned anywhere so I guess not.
