Headset vs VOIP USB Phones? Which one do you prefer?

I want to start using voip on my laptop. Headset or USB Phone? Which one is better? And what Manufacturer & model?

I've tried both methods, generally the USB phone method works better since it operates as a separate sound system, otherwise I found I was continually having to swap between headset and speakers depending on what I was doing , just got tedious
Phone just seems more natural too
Can't really recommend, since I just bought cheapest USB phone ebuyer had - works fine, volume a bit low may be but not fully played with settings yet though

I'm also trying one of these USB VoIP Gateways so that I can use the standard home phone via skype, lots of issues getting it going (which I can expand on if anyone intrested) but still having some issues, got it basically working but can't actually dial a voip call as advertised, incoming calls OK
Anyone else using one ?
