Bilbao Ferry

Anyone ever been on the P&O portsmouth to bilbao ferry? I've heard its expensive on board but am considering a trip late september if I can get a cheap deal

We went to bilbao on the ferry last summer and really enjoyed it,paper cup of tea £1.50 pint of stellar £2.30 self service cafe meal was between £7-10 depending what you had.If you do go make sure you get an outside cabin the internal ones have no natural light.The highlight of the trip was the shoals of dolphins chasing round the sides of the ship, we had an absolutely beautiful crossing, smooth as silk but i have heard when its bad its awful.The actual ship is very nice and the staff are very pleasant,the cabins are little cramped but the sailing was great.On the ship there is a cinema, gym,large piano bar and a casino.As i type this my wife and I are both remembering how much we enjoyed it and both said we would like to go again,if you do go I hope you have a good crossing.

I have used it a couple of times and my wife and I have both enjoyed the trip. We use it as a ferry on our way to southern Spain and we have had a couple of rough journeys in the winter months. It did not stop the cabaret however, the dancers did slip on a couple of occasions. The Britany ferries from Plymouth to Santander are also quite good, but the journey is a little shorter. The food prices are as you would expect for a captive audience. Enough to make you notice but not gasp.
