cheap short term motor insurance wanted!

Hi! Our car insurance runs out on 22nd march (fully comp, 5 yrs no claims, currently with Swift) but we have a dilemma as we are moving to Spain in May/june, is there anyone that we can insure with just for 2-3 months? Our renewal annual figure is only £146, but the short term insurers I can find are all around that A MONTH!!! Anyone know of a reasonable insurer? Car is Nissan Almera 1998 gti, hope you can help!
Regards
Gaynor

    Hi there,

I had the same problem as moving abroad in May! I got insured in Feb with Prudential, went through Quidco getting £95 cashback making insurance for the year toatal £150! I did ask over the phone if I could cancel during the year due to moving abroad, and they said yes, (even though I paid in full up front) they would refund me the unused months pro rata, with me paying up till and including the month that I leave in.

I should imagine that lots of other companies will refund you what is due pro rata, so you won't be out of pocket, check the comparison sites then try to go through Quidco for extra saving. Good luck with your move!
