interest charges

I have had to pay £174.88 in interest as i had made a mistake in paying a balance off within the time limits. I made a mistake when paying it online and by the time the money was refunded back to me and then repaying it i was 2 days late.
Any ideas would be good please

Steve

It sounds like you missed the end of a 0% offer period?

Next time, send a £1 payment (in plenty of time) online to test the conduit/time the process and save the payee details for when you need to make a payment 'in anger'.

just a normal credit card, late in the payement getting to them, despite numerous phone calls to them advising them of this, payement made in plenty of time but missed out some details and the ammount was bounced back.

If all you 'messed up' was the 16 digit reference (ie sort code and account number were correct), then write to them and ask for some goodwill.

But my 1st reply holds good for the future. It's the first thing I do with all my online transfers, whether they are to credit cards, savings accounts, or current accounts.
