Hi folks i have been searching the board to find how to start up windows me in safe mode, i have tryed holding the f8 key and the delete key but cant seem to be able to get into safe mode can someone help please

    Reboot and hold f8 on it's own

    Sorry i should have said i am holding f8 key on its own and i thought i would try the delete key, i do not hold down theses together

    Rather than hold down F8, tap it repetitively.

    If you can't get the F8 trick to work, try this:

    click start -> run ...

    type MSCONFIG.

    On the General tab, click "Diagnostic Startup"

    Click Exit and restart. Goes to Safe Mode automatically.

    Run MSCONFIG again to change back to normal startup when you are done.
