Paris CDG airport to Central Paris- can I use Carnet?

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to use Metro Carnet tickets to travel into central Paris from Charles De Gaulle airport. As each is worth only 1.1 euros (under a quid) that seems cheap to go 15 miles into Paris. Am I missing something?

The metro doesn't go to CDG. Best bet is to use the RoissyBus to Opera and take the metro from there. This space has been intentionally left blank0

think it was 12.60 from cdg to gard du nord- but we managed to return without paying!more luck then anything but carnet lasted us four days perfectly.

It's best to get the RER (B) into Paris and then switch to the metro, it's about 8 euros into central Paris or you can get a 1, 2 , 3 or 5 day pass that covers you for the RER, Metro, buses and trams if you buy it for zones 1-6 If you are there for a week starting Monday you can get a Carte Orange pass but take a passport photo to stick on it.0

You can only use carnet tickets on the RER (suburban train) within the centre of paris, not airports.
The best way is to buy a ticket to the centre of paris at the airport (€8.20). This covers you to change onto the metro, so one ticket will get you all the way to your hotel. There are machines at the airport train station. They take cards.
In Paris, buy a carnet of tickets and use them for your individual journeys. I wouldn't bother with a pass, Paris is great to walk around anyway. Remember each ticket is valid for 2 hours, so once you've stamped it you can sometimes use it again if you make only a brief stop somewhere. If you travel as a couple, you can buy one carnet and share the tickets, unlike a pass.
Save any spare tickets, I sold mine on ebay at almost face value, it saves people having to queue to buy them at the Eurostar terminal!0 -
Which train station do they trains from cdg airport go to is it Nord or L`Est? or both?
I am going in two weeks thinking of booking a hotel close to the Nord station got a bad back at the moment so want an easy transfer to the hotel.0 -

The answer is that the Gare de L'Est is not directly on the RER (suburban rail) line that serves CdG. Gare du Nord is.
For Gare de l'Est you'd hvae to change (at Gare du Nord, oddly enough) and go one stop further on the Metro.
Here's a map.
As for other trains, the only other trains that leave CdG are TGVs heading cross country and the CdG VAL going from terminal to terminal.0 -

The train also calls at Saint Michel/Notre Dame and Luxembourg on the south of the river. I don't know if you know Paris, but the neighbourhood around Nord station is pretty grotty.0 -
