On another point - exactly how will BG estimate how much we own after their price hikes nearly 4 week ago - I have always been suspicious of this and so have been keeping a careful check on my meter and noted the reading on the day when they price hikes were announced -interesting to see what they send in their bills - I say this as I'm switching this month - so you got me worried by your £175 leccy bill.'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' : Member number 632

They will bill it at the new rate
Anything paid by DD is just a payment on account that is offset against what you owe on the bills.
Not saying it's fair or right. :mad:Make a list of important things to do today. At the top, put 'eat chocolate'. Now, you'll get at least one thing done today.

I know...notice how BG don't ask for meter readings when they put the bl**dy prices up but ask you every bl**dy time you phone about a query...that's what makes me MAD'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' : Member number 632

The more readings they have, the more accurate their estimates, so it makes sense to get a reading whenever they can.
If they asked all 16 million of their customers to give them a read on the day they changed their prices, that's all they'd be doing for a month.
You're wlecome to give them an accurate reading whenever you want - just go on their website or call the freephone number. (around here somewhere...)0
