Sorry but BT have to one of the worst for utter crapness - totally unhelpful despite their claim that they have 'award winning customer service' - when I pointed out that they were hardly award winning, they said oh yes ma'am we are. To which I said, no, you're not, you're dreadful!
Also completely rubbish are Pipex, complete waste of space in my humble opinion!
You are luckyI have managed to pay a bill and set up a direct debit with BT and I have yet to speak to a human being . What the heck is award winning about that :rotfl:

I dealt with them last week and they were pretty good. It was the business department right enough.£2 coin/ £460 -
I was with Natwest in the 80's and was very friendly with the manager lol. The one day when I was putting money in I saw him and I asked him for an appointment to go over a few things. He told me then that he was being relocated and that the policy was to remove all personal/busines/bank managers and that this branch will close with 12 months. Further more he said that you will only be able to discuss your accounts in regional offices (15 miles away) but you can use the facilities in the bank down the road as if it was here. He also said there will come atime when you can only talk onthe phone and thats to a clerk.

I have found the same as yourself. We bank online, and in person and have always found them helpful, and ready to refund charges which have occured. We can only speak as we find at the end of the day and at the moment i would not change banks.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I have never had any bad experience from any bank, but thats because I have always been fortune to be able to keep my account in the black..just. and have never incurred bank charges....if you play fair then they do, they are a business not a charity.
I too, keep my account in the black, and LTSB are appalling. I once phone the complaints line to complain. Indian of course. The fact she was on the end of the complaints line came as news to her. She had no idea what to do. And nothing happened (unsurprisingly).

P.s. Nat west were the first high street bank to out source in India. The first High street bank to remove personal managers from branch. the first bank to start closing branches and put them inside other banks??
They don't outsource now. They were probably the first bank to get stung by outsourcing, and so brought it back.
The insurance companies are finding out likewise. Apparently safeguards against fraud are not good out east..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I think your probably correct ZTD but it may also be fads i.e. sales gimmick. You know how we like something new.June 2005 = 48K of Debt

I'm definately in the First Direct camp.... have been with them for 10 years and have not had cause to fault their service yet! I am a huge fan of being able to do things without speaking to people, but when you do have to speak to people, it does make a difference if you are talking to someone who knows what you're on about.... OH once spoke to someone at 3 (in India, altho his nationality is not relevant) who told him that it was illegal for OH to speak to his supervisor
I have no problems with out-sourcing to foreign call centres, but when all they have is a standard script and cannot deal with your query, that vexes me!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0
