Spotted this on Maplins site looks like a nice bit of kit for the money anybody got any comments on it please?

another typical Maplin deal. Their 'normal price' is ridiculous and any discounted or sale price still does not bring it near the price in the 'real' world. Plenty of alternatives to this one out there cheaper, and better spec'd, as well.

aros do a freeview reciever and hard drive for about £140 its sagem brand. I have one and it is nice and compact. see the link below for comparison

and its actually 40GB and 129.99. I recommend it.

It doesn't. It is a freeview box with hard disc. They can be notoriously tempremental so if anyone is thinking of getting it, I would advise some intensive research first.

its not a dvd recorder...it will record programmes to hard drive

This is a satellite receiver with a hard drive, otherwise known as a PVR.

It is not a Freeview receiver.
