She has a thoracic aortic aneurysm (a swelling in her aorta in her heart) which has swelled to the maximum they can allow without performing surgery to remove the swollen portion of aorta. Without the op the aneurysm could rupture at any time giving her at most 10 minutes to live. Without the op she has at most 5 years left, with it she could live until normal life expectancy. She also has leaky heart valves so they are replacing her heart valves too to improve her overall heart function as she has heart failure. I've got uni tomorrow and then I'm up there (60 miles away) for two days. The stupid form has to be in on the 5th so got no chance now, which means I fail the module I don't know why I bother.
