I have been awake sick with worry all weekend....
Can someone please let me know if a CCA signed on 20th December 2002 is Statute Bared yet.....

When is the last date you payed or admitted the debt in writing? However... 2008-6 =2002... this debt if the 22nd of Dec was the last date you admitted or payed the debt then it is NOT statute barred unless you live in scotland where it's 5 years. I have never admitted to this debt....
It refers to Insurance that I was more or less forced (I was kept waiting in the shop for over an hour and brow beaten) to take out on am Ex-display model TV that I paid cash for at Comet, when I got home I contacted the shop and complained and cancelled the Insurance.
They have tried to persue this in the past and the last letter I had was for their own Solicitor (I just hope I still have it) saying that in light of the way I was treated etc she was going to move to have it cancelled, that was four years ago.....and I have heard nothing from them since....BOI Credit Card = Was £3500.00 Now £0.00

In which case you aren't going to be trying to apply the statute barred clauses because they don't apply and what you need to get them to do is to drop it as you have written proof from their legal representative explaining that they were dropping it due to mis-selling, and your subsequent cancellation of the contract done within the "cool off period" at any rate.DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! It has never shown on my credit file as a default (not from Time Life/Comet anyway) because it has always been in dispute, which is why I dont have a CCJ or anything against it...BOI Credit Card = Was £3500.00 Now £0.00
