Which central heating maintenance plan is best?
Options
I just bought a house [built in 1987].
I am willing to take a central heating maintenance plan.
I've seen some like British Gas/Home Serve, Eon etc.
Which is better and what are covered and not covered?
Thanx

Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

I suggest you do a search on this forum and read the many varied thoughts of posters.
Obviously BG Homecare is the major scheme and there are greatly differing opinions on the service - ranging from excellent to abysmal. There is no doubt it is expensive, but those who have it, seem to think the 'insurance' aspect gives peace of mind.
There are a mass of 'cover' organisations that don't have their own dedicated fitters like BG, but simply get a local plumber to visit - so your service is only as good as that fitter. There have been some very bad reviews of these organisations.
If your 1987 house has the original CH system you may well have difficulty getting cover from any reputable organisation.0 -
I have british gas homecare for my heating system and i also have the electric and plumbing cover.
I have always found it to be a good service from british gas.0
