    Morning all

Grey and wet here this morning. But I don't mind if it stays grey and wet all weekend - as I'm working

    Have a good day

Finances updated - lost or unaccounted for £20 somewhere  . Best go and shower then work.
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    Morning ladies

I woke up hungry at 6 so have come down for a hot chocolate. Just doing 30 mins paperwork as my desk had disappeared again.

At this time 14 years ago I was about to become a mum for the first time. I remember looking out the window after I had had DS1 - he was a home delivery and the first daffodil had openned in our garden that morning. As I look at the daffs in full bloom this morning they are tinged with happy memories of that day, sadness for AnW'sMum and wonderment about global warning (sp intended).

Flying plan is to do dalies and one of the kids rooms (DS3 I think) and then do the other kids rooms one each over the weekend.
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair

    Morning

I have read the thread but forgot to thank you all as I went along. The journey home yesterday was the longest of my life, just wanted to be on my own. It's almost like it all starting over again. Thanks for all the hugs and words, I will be printing those out at some point to show A & W how much people were supporting us.

A & W slept next door with my best friend last night so I could have a bit of space. I am going to get dressed and go round for brekkie in a mo and get them ready for school. Not looking forward to the school run and the gossips but I shall be there head high and shoulders back.

I just need a bit more time out but be assured I am ok(ish!) and keeping an eye on you all ;)

Thanks so much, just wish I could give you all a hug back. xxxx

Hi AnWsmum its good to give yourself some time. We found ourselves in a similar situation with DH's brother who was living with us. He was 21. I found people to be very supportive and my prayer is that you will be pleasantly surprised by how people are with you over the next days and weeks.
Big hugs for your children and if there is anything you need, I would be more than willing to help in any way I can.xxx

AnW'smum (((hugs))) for you and A&W.

As for me today is going to be a busy day. I haven't done any cleaning this week apart from wash/drying laundry and since Ex is coming for his stuff tomorrow I need to make sure everything of his is packed up and ready to go. Also need to actually do some cleaning as I forgot to clean the rug after yesterdays split milk :o:rolleyes: I'm going to see a solicitor at 12.30 about access for Ex to DD and I have a feeling its going to be one of those days where there just isn't enough hours!

So my amended list for today (so I can print this off :D ) - I've decided any flinging is going to be my time for packing up ex-s stuff because it will be leaving the house :rotfl:

Meddling Monday- Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean windows & any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. Are there any that need rehoming?
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • HHI.. get that mountain gone!
Tripping Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Sweep and mop floors
Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean out the cupboard with the miscellaneous gibble in!! I'm sure you can get rid of half of it!
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Clean oven if it really needs it.. or just do the hob or a knob or the oven shelves
    • 42 fling boogie.. GO!
    • Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET
    Wednesday walkabout- Bathroom
    Clean floors in these rooms
Clean baths, toilets, don't forget under the rim! and sinks
Wipe down tiles in bathroom.. defragment your pc while doing this.
Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins! (the proper bins not the rooms that look like bins!)
    • HHI... a bit more gone!
Thrilling Thursday - Master Bedroom & Landing
    Check fire alarms are working
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort 10 things from your wardrobe (or someone elses) that you can get rid of... and a pair of shoes only counts as one thing! likewise socks!
Clear a hotspot.. or spend 15 minutes clearing one.
    • 41 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    • Clean windows in these rooms
Fearsome Friday- those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
Vacuum the floor, even if it's just where you can see
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade and curtain pole!!!
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
    • Book a night out.. with your friends or husband or anybody.. just go have a day or an evening out.. go dance, go party, go for a meal, go shopping.. whatever.. just get out and enjoy yourself.. and children are NOT allowed!!!!!.. This one is not optional! :p
    • End of week fling!! grab a binbag and fill it with stuff to leave the house.. rubbish or charity shop or to donate to a friend/nursery!

Right when it comes to going out, that will be on the cards at some point BUT I need to get things sorted here first way too much paperwork and lack of knowledge as to how much money etc I have to think about going out just yet so instead I'm going to colour my hair today, and then tomorrow morning as the house will be spotless I'll have a deep hot bubblebath as a reward as tonight I'll probably be too busy doing the ironing! :rotfl:

Right, off to print this and check email. So Mum/Jo if you're reading this, can you not call or text me today unless absolutely necessary cause I'm going to have to borrow the broom that goes up your a*se so I can get done!;) :rotfl::rotfl:Laters

As G&B said ignore the gossip and of course try and enjoy breakfast with a and W.
