Hopefully you will just get a slapped wrist as most of that is essential living expenses. Though you won't have them to fall back on when you are BR, will you be able to manage?

I'm not sure if we will manage after bankruptcy, but it has to be better than how things are at the moment  I guess we will just have to get used to it and really cut down on as much as we can
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

I have just looked at our credit card statement. It hadn't been used for ages then this past week

BR Fees - £485 which were taken out first (I'm guessing we should of done this last)

after taking out BR fees approx £200 has been spent at Tesco because we totally ran out of food / baby wipes / baby milk / nappies everything and didn't have enough for it all...

    about £15 sainsburys

about £120 on Clothes for my daughter - I shouldn't of done this but she needed them

Plus the bank account been past the overdraft which I really didn't mean to do..... I feel so stupid and I'm sure the OR is going to question it all.... we wouldn't ever spend that much as teso/sainsburys in a week but we were on bare minimum for everything... Mother In Law has been helping us out with things like that every month, but we haven't had any help this month so it looks like we have overspent on purpose..... I'm starting to feel like we shouldn't go ahead with it but we are in such a mess

To be honest, and fair. I'm sure the ORs staff will review the expenditure (less the £485 for fees) as 'opportunistic' in the knowledge that you were going BR.
However, that doesn't justify a BRO/BRU. These are normally issued if the % of your gross BR is due to 'unacceptable behaviour' over a period of time, i.e gambling, excessive spending (holidays, TVs, White goods), or if you lied to any of your creditors relating to the original debt (i,e you said you earned £50k but actually earned £20k, etc.)

Having a one off high spend at tesco won't bother the OR staff to much but having a high spend every week may raise questions.

To be honest, if you had spare capicity on any credit card or flexible loan/overdraft you would be bonkers not to use it. Just don't go flying to New York for a months holiday at the expense of Barclaycard. ;)
