Hi all,
I am looking at moving to a flat and maybe not haveing a phone line but using one of these mobile operators 'dongles' for access to the internet now they have come down in price.
The internet will be fine but i also have a 360 plugged into my router, is there any way of being able to play xbox live through these dongles?

Not without buying a 3G router and putting the SIM card in that however the latency on the 3G networks is too high for online gaming.0

I'd be very surprised if he's not suffering lag issues in games such as shooters.0

You can play xbox live using a wireless dongle.
Heres a tutorial

You could suffer lag if your net is too slow. However you can allway just use it to reocver you gamertag0 -
I hate playing against people with high latency, which is what you're likely to get.0

It's also worth noting most 3G connections have strict bandwidth limits and gaming creates a fair amount of traffic. Some mobile broadband packages charge heavily if you go over your allowance...0

Conor's right. Playing WOW for half an hour creates less trafic than spending the same time browsing social networking sites.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

It depends greatly on the game...
It would be perfectly reasonable to say playing a variety of games for a total of 30 hours a month (1 hour a day) could use 500mb (download and upload). Say you also download a couple of extras (maps, cars, weapon add ons) you could be looking at 750mb. On a month you play a lot it could be a gig of usage. That's a lot when you consider most mobile broadband deals have caps on less than 3GB.0
