cancel a monthly service with a website

Options
This is not the thread to post this but not sure which one would cover this but i signed up for a dating website a few months ago to give it a try and after a few weeks it was not for me,it was not free and i had to supply my bank details/card to pay for a monthly service and by a certain time or if to late would be charged another month.
Well i was well before my cancel date and canceled it but i am still being charged for it thats two moths they have taken from me and i dont want to deal with them.
They have no phone number and contact details all you do is email them to say you wish to cancel but they dont seem to be doing it and i have noticed that they i think as part of jamster that advert thats on all the time on tv which i have heard people have ordered ringtones from that keep getting charged even when they asked to stop.
I phoned my bank and they said as i gave them my card details there was nothing i could do apart from cancel my card and get a new one which is a big hassle.
I have emailed them a second time and said i wish to cancel and want refunded my last payment taken from account but there is never a reply and how do i know they cancel it this time round.
This has put me off using anything like this again and when i request something canceled then they should it should not be as hard as this to have stopped any advise.

Can you tell us which site it is?

The reason I ask is that someone might have experience of that particular site, and might be able to suggest what to do.

Surely the card will be covered for this since its fraudulent activity of your card over the internet. if you've not given your consent to have the mony taken then the bank can cover it. Maybe I'm wrong. I had a look at uk.match.com for myself and saw the prices, and haven't been back since. At least being single is cheaper !!!

    Had a look -

The terms of service seem very clear - including contact deatils ( address, tel & email)

if you compiled with terms to cancel , then contact your card company and raise a dispute ( not sure what rules apply if its a debit card, but credit card should refund and chase themselves) obviously helps if you have copy of emails/ letters ( although personally I try and avoid any continous card payment option)

As you said site appears contacted to jamster - so assume they offered Mobile text charges ?

Bit of a cheat using .co.uk when it's a German company. They've also registered ilove.net which is used for email. That is registered to Frank Biedka, also of Pfuelstrasse 5, Berlin, etc - phone - +49.030695380/+49.3069538112, fax - +49.03069538599, email - admin@jamba-ag.de. Website - http://www.jamba-ag.de/ is Jamba ringtones of Crazy Frog 'fame', same for https://www.jamster.co.uk - all registered to the same lot. They're on trial in Germany for their MTV ads.

"Icstis, the premium rate watchdog, is due to report on Crazy Frog in August after complaints. If Icstis upholds the complaints, it could impose a fine of up to £100,000 on mBlox, who provide telephone services to Jamster, and close down offending lines."
