Waiting for OH to get paid for his last job then we are going to go for a continuous ink supply I could wait but want to get it finished. I know papermani do some lovely ones but its finding somewhere that stocks a good wide range then finding one small enough. I will have a look and see what I can find. I might be able to *tell* oh to take it into work and print it off for me :rotfl: x
Rusty, had another thought about your letters, could you use tiny beads with letter on? I know you can get them for bracelets. Any good?

We are so sorry Princess Polly for allowing this thread to be chucked off the first page. Will you ever forgive us??? Love the thank you cards, so personal!
I've made another pop up card! Has taken blooming ages but it's finally finished and I'm quite pleased with it. It's for a little girl called Alice who is having a blessing at the local church. She has been christened already over in N.Ireland (where mum's family is) and is now having a blessing for friends back at home.

Inside of card...
To make the card I used Wordle (thanks so much saveapenny, you are a star!!!) to print different variations of the name 'Alice' (found these via google). This spans the back and front of the card (went for A5 card this time - don't normally do cards this big). I made 'Alice' bigger than all the other names and played around with custom font colours. The pink square on the front is a pocket made from vellum with a tag inside containing the blessing details - venue and date. The 'A' on the pocket is cross stitched.
Inside on the left hand side I printed the meaning of the name 'Alice' in pink and decorated the rest of the inside quite plainly so as not to detract from the text. Leaving some space on the right hand side for me to write a message.
Her pressie is a nappy cake - already made this (posted pic on the finished baskets board). The nappy cake is very pink and girlie so wanted a pink theme for the card too but quite delicate.
What do you think? Please be honest ladies. I think I like it but I am always so critical of my own stuff and see the negatives and not necessarily the positives:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Thanks guys, you've all made me feel much better about my card
It is very personal and for a very special little girl. The OH isn't home from work yet so you've all given me some confidence in my card when he says something like "errr, it's ok I suppose..."

Saveapenny posted a link to Wordle on this thread and I missed it but someone else quoted saveapenny's orignal post in another post so got hold of it that way. It is really fun to use... http://wordle.net/create
Have a look in the Gallery to get some ideas of what you can do with Wordle! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Just dug them out of a box and guess what ... I have enough of every letter to make up the girls names and also enough to do my daughters name on a dummy strap ...
Well I would have if I had any A's in there :rotfl:Anyone got any A's they want to sell me lol
Lovely card, the wordle looks fantastic on there and the nappy cake will be well lovedWell done you
