I always use whisper pens or watercolours for colouring in my images. As toni says an ink like stazon is best for stamping them. If anyone fancies some simple stamps to start with funky kits have 5 of the sugar nellie ones for only 2 pounds each http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=47_37&sort=3a&page=2
Hope this helps trisha xCross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Toniwonty, I didn't realise stamping was so easy? or rather the thought of it? I see your beautiful cards all the time and didn't realise that the little person on them was a stamp
(yes yes ok I should have read properly or realised but I didn't) I always thought it was some kind of embellishment
Lovely cards to all who have made them. Not sure I will get chance to do this weeks challenge againsorry guys things are quite busy here. However I now have to make my son another card  as he wants star wars instead of pokemon
Oooh well done Polly, I think OH wishes he could do the same with me, except he knows he would never be able to get in there if he let me have a roomRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
thanks toniwoty for the great instructions on how to do stamping. I think I might try both ink and pens and see which I get on best with. Not sure if anywhere in Durham sells them so may have to wait till I can have a trip to Hobbycraft. Although the stamps I have only use one or two colours they are quite small (they are Christmas ones I got in a pack with cards, papers, etc) so might get some of the ones you suggested.

I have been very well behaved ... however thought I would share .....
The papershop in The metro centre (gateshead) are doing Dovecraft stamps and some inks for 99p each (in a basket near the door) they also have some embellishments for the same price in another basket on opposite side of the door. Also at the back of the shop they had loads of christmassy things reduced and the most expensive thing on the clearance shelves was £2.99 ... I didn't buy anything but it may help someone. Not sure if it is just this store or nationwide.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
