    hels - where did you get that kit from?? £2.99 is a fab price!

    can anyone give me ay advice on embossing? got some powder and a heat gun cheap on ebay but don't know how to do it....!! Help!

    Toni, the way I do it is:

    Using a pigment ink pad (slower drying ink) or a heat embossing pen stamp/draw your image.

    Shake the embossing powder over your image liberally (kind of the way nursery children use glitter)

    Pour the embossing powder back into the pot and some should stick to your image.

    Use the heat gun to heat up the powder, it takes a couple of seconds then it looks like it's melting and it will all run together to make the image...

    Hope this makes sense?

    I'm a relative newbie to MSE but have been making cards for a couple of years (blame Rainmac who got me into card-making and cross-stitching!!!), so I'd love to join in if that's ok?

  • ooooh i might be able to get started on my xmas card for the challenge later! my penny black 12 days of xmas stamps have just turned up. i also bought a beautiful big stamp which says 'Believe in the Magic of Christmas'. just waiting for my paper nation snowman and then i've got some ideas to try out!

    Hey, don't blame me, we dived into card making together, the cross stitching... I guess I am sort of to blame :p
