    Thanks to dfarry,
the second link http://www.regionfreedvd.net/player/ebench.html made the player multi region!

No problem mate... glad the link helped...

Is there any chance you could take a picture of the connections at the back... I just want to confirm/compare how similar the unit is to last years model.

And also software wise...what does the interface look like.... admittedly... the interface on the EBench is very basic.

I managed to get one but have not tried it out yet. From the details on the box they play just about every disc variety invented, however they could not tell me in store (or their head office when the manager rang) if it was multi region or NTSC compataible. But if it is not I was told its fine to return it

    It's SilverCrest KH6778.

Regarding the hack stinky101. If it works, do you get the option to turn Macrovision off?

Thanks for that S101. It's for when you may need to make a copy for the children...

The Aldi model for £32.99 plays DivX discs.
  • The hack from dfarry (http://www.regionfreedvd.net/player/ebench.html) works fine.

Also this player comes with a scart cable.

    What a bargain !
