Lidl DVD player

Plays DVDs, CDs, MP3s, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, DVD-Rs DVD-RWs and JPEG picture CDs
Connections: Coaxial, 5.1 Surround and S-Video & Video Out

£22.99 includes 3 year warranty.

I know Amazon had one for £19.99 but this seems not bad for a shop bought player, especially with the warranty.

£3 is well worth it for a 3 year warranty, I've known loads of people who's dvd player packs up within a couple of years + I've had 2 myself where the lasers have gradually died. Also there's no hassle of posting back a faulty player if it does go wrong. These cheap ones are not built to last.
    Next year we'll be millionaires!

yeah but that's only gonna cost you a tenner a year if you pay twenty quid for a cheap player!!!

Cheap entertainment in my mind, can't be bad, so who cares if they only last 2 years

Does anyone know whether this does DVD+R/RWs, VCDs and SVCDs? And the model number of this DVD player?

    Thanks. x

I also want to know if it plays other region's disks. I have done a search and it looks like SilverCrest is Lidl's own brand

This really is a bargain and I can almost guarantee that they will be flting out the doors of all Lidl stores...

To me it looks like a rebranded Ebench KH6777... like the ones that they were selling last year for £30... the specs seem the same, as is the remote control... just the design of the payer itself has changed.

If it is the same as the eBench then the following may work to make it multiregion...

Got one of the Sainsury's ones (saw two models at this price - a compact style and a super slimline). I bought the slimline and it is fabulous, looks sleek and is even multi-region. Also lets you view your CD's with digital photos, and let's you zoom in on them and view as slideshow. Lots of features for 20 quid!
I recommend. Also, on the back there seem to be connectors for virtually any type of devices you can think of, so when you get those home theatre speakers at xmas the plugs will be ready.
