Cashback credit cards and paper bills

Hi all,

I'm interested in getting a new cashback credit card. I'm currently with smile, getting 0.5% cashback, but would like to move to an alternative provider. I would prefer to earn more than 0.5% - I have seen there are some better deals around! My real reason for moving though is that I want paper bills. I have to print all of my bills for my income self assessment, and smile only keeps an archive of 6 months worth of bills. If I want to go back further than that, you pay £5 per bill to get a printed copy. No thanks!

So - does anybody have any recommendations for cashback cards with paper billing? I looked at egg, but theirs is online only. I'd prefer Visa or Mastercard (over Amex)..

The Shell Citicard has a choice of paper or online billing and pays 3% cashback on Shell fuel and 1% cashback on all other purchases. To qualify for the cashback you need to buy Shell fuel at least once per billing period but I can't find anything in the terms and conditions that says how much so I just stick a fiver in per month and I've been getting the cashback ok. Unlike Egg the Citicard cashback is paid monthly rather then annually which is quite nice and there's no limit on how much you can earn.

I can't recommend a cash back card with paper statements. But, the charge of £5 doesn't match up with the information on their site.

For paper statements it lists the charges as follows:

Within the last 6 months = £2.50
More than 6 months old = £10

A copy of a sales voucher is listed as £5, maybe this is the price/service they have quoted to you?

It might be worth checking if they have a maximum charge though. For instance, with Egg I know the charge is £2 per statement but the maximum charge is £10.

So, whether you order 5 or 25 statements the charge is only a maximum of £10. If smile do have a maximum charge then it may not be as expensive as you first imagined.

The Capital One Cashback card gives 1% cashback and comes with paper statements by default.

Its a Mastercard.
