This is by far and away the best customer service I have EVER received or even heard of!
I wanted some stuff from the White Company for my kids to give their mum on Mothers Day, so ordered by phone on Wednesday afternoon (too late for normal delivery) and paid £10 for next day delivery, which I was told would actually mean Friday because I ordered after 5pm. I was fine with that. My order total before delivery charge was about £38.
It didn't arrive. I phoned customer service ( well actually I didn't, I just phoned the orderline again, and they sorted it) and got huge apologies, the mistake was theirs and NOT blamed on the courier company. My delivery charges were immediately refunded.
To cut a long story a little shorter, Saturday morning they ordered a taxi from Ealing to go to Bluewater where they have a shop, collect my order and deliver it to me in Loughton in Essex! The taxi did an entire lap of the M25 and must have charged them £150 - £200.
THEN, on sunday when we opened the package, not only had they gift wrapped it (an extra I hadn't paid for) they had also enclosed a hand written apology, a large packet of chocolate eggs for the kids AND given me 20% off the entire order!:T
