Without a receipt, they do not have to give you your money back, but offer a voucher against another product or repleacement.0

Without proof of purchase they are not legally obliged to give you a refund, vouchers or a replacement. The fact that other stores do is irrelevant.
A receipt is proof of purchase, but proof of purchase may also be something other than the receipt e.g. cheque stub, credit card slip, bank statement, witness statement, etc.0 -
But what is the problem with REPLACING an item that is clearly theirs (has Entertainer emblazoned across said product) and could be no one elses> I will not shop there anymore, okay this item was only a few pounds but what if I bought something for say £50 and lost the receipt, tough? Any store with decent customer service policies would not have a problem with it, this policy has just cost them hundreds of pounds a year, and I know others who have made the same decision......0

They have decided not to, the same as you have decided not to shop there. Seems fine to me.0
