Does anyone know if you get an instant decision when you apply online for a HSBC credit card or do they tell you that they will let you know by post? I already bank with them and have done for many years but have never had one of their credit cards and would like to do a balance transfer to one of their 2.9% cards for two years.
Thanks for any replies.

Once you apply they will send you a Contract / Agreement for you to sign, then they will decide your limit and post you a card.0

Do they tell you whether or not you have been approved when you apply online?0

They didn't with mine but emailed me within 24 hours to say I had been approved - I have an A+ credit history but have recently changed jobs.0

Quick reminder that if you're applying, if you apply through the Quidco site http://www.quidco.com/finance/credit-cards/ you can get £20 cashback if you're successful."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0
