A suggestion for those wanting 'cheap' or 'reasonably priced'

May I suggest that anyone who posts on here asking for recommendations for 'cheap' or 'reasonably priced' hotels, holidays, flights or whatever please give some idea of what they consider 'cheap' or 'reasonably priced' to actually mean and state what sort of budget they are working with?

Thanks.

Lol, got to agree. My idea of cheap is as close to free as possible, I don't care about facilities as long as I get a safe bed to sleep in. I recently got asked by a colleague to help her book a cheap weekend, turned out her idea of a cheap 2 night trip to Paris was under £1000! Damn I'm in the wrong job...

and departure airports, proper dates, ie - 5th - 11th march, not just march, etc..

because, i might find something cheap, within your budget, and then you tell me that the dates aren't suitable....

and i'll agree with dmg24, prices you've already found....

Easily done in Paris. I spent nearly £350 on the wife + I at Lido dinner show. That was only the mid priced meal too.Semi decent bottle of wine (£4.99 Asda equivelent) was over 100 Euro:eek:

    Show was absolutely fab though

I am looking at having a week in southern spain leaving on Saturday.

The cheapest flights I can find are over £100 - is it possible to arrive at the airport on the morning of departure and hope to get something cheap??

I know I'm quite new here and 'there is no such thing as a stupid question' but I really do wonder how some of you guys keep your cool sometimes.

I'm amazed by the posts that seem to want everyone to do their work for them and also by those who haven't seemed to have grasped the search facility on their internet browser.

Keep up the good work though, this place really is full of useful information and I am learning lots from it :T

i'm starting a collection on my computer of "stock" answers, ones that can be answered by telling people to do a search, or pointing them in the direction of guides..

i don't really go on any other MSE forums apart from this one, but i bet its no different.. let's see if putting it in big letters helps...

    1 - Price you've already found
    2 - exact dates
3 - preferred airports (to and from)
    4 - budget

    might as well try... *grins*

i'm in holiday mode today, so i'm on a wind down.. but yeah. it gets annoying with having to post something, just to ask the basic questions.. its not like i want to increase my post count!!!
