Protected no claims on home indurance

This may be a daft question - I made a claim a couple of years back but I had protected no claims at the time. Do I need to mention it when getting new quotes for home insurance?

Yes - you must declare all claims. Your current insurance company were protecting your bonus, not any prospective new companies.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

Hi, Im looking for some advice, any would be appriciated,
Yesterday i was stopped waiting to enter a roundabout and a woman behind me thought i had pulled off and drove into the back off me. She admitted fault (obviously) and we exchanged details. After getting 3 quotes for the damage as she wanted to pay for it herself without claiming, damaged was to the boot floor- £800-1000. So now she wants to claim off her insurance, i told her to phone them and set up a claim. But what do i do now??
I am wary of contacting my insurers as im a 20 year old male and am worried my premium will be affected (i have just renewed) or i will have to pay excess etc. But im thinking i should contact them. Evan though this shouldnt be the case as im not a typical young driver!!
Also at the reputable body shop i got a quote at they said they could sort it all for me via a company called Swift who will set up a claim and charge it all to the womans insurance? Whats the deal with this?
Any help would be great,
Thanks0 -

HI ... you may have been better placing this as a separate post - as the thread heading relates to home insurance ...
It is common for the change in attitude that you have experienced from the other party - as soon as the cost of repair is known.
I will let others (hopefully) respond about the offer your garage has made - because I don't know "Swift" - but there are companies who will operate to recover your loss - but their standards vary - thus my reluctance to comment.
Personally, however were it me - I would contact the woman and ask for the contact details of her Insurers and process your claim direct with them - and if you hit problems - post again, and I, and I am sure other members will help if you hit any problems. If many little people, in many little places, do many little things,
