Now that Abroadtel, and Dialwise have started using 0871 access numbers. The thought occured me who is the cheapest supplier of landline to mobile calls. https://www.telesave.co.uk/athome/index.htm now appear to be the cheapest during weekday evenings, apart from calls to 3.There rates to call 02,Orange,T-Mobile,and Voda are 12p peak,7p evenings,5p weekends.min call charge of 4p applies. Its a prepaid a/c.Access is via a short code 12450,or an 0800 number ideal for cable customers,
Apart from 0871 dial through numbers and 1899/18866 access does anyone no any cheaper suppliers?

I went to call18866 website and checked their uk landline and mobile rate and to my surprise i see that they have dropped their mobile charge to 0p.
when i tried to register however i got the following message " Unfortunately your 18866 internet registration has failed.
Due to lack of capacity it is currently not possible to register. Please wait at least 6 weeks before attempting to register again. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
Kind regards,

I'm not sure where you saw that? Just looked myself and it still says 12p/min (weekdays) and 3p/min (Sat/Sun) - which is how it's been for a long while AFAIK.

When that is successful, log into your account and add your landline number (and delete the mobile number if you want).Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").0 -

UK landline rate is 2p connection free calls.Uk Mobile rate is 2p connection and 12p a min at peak/evening, 3p a min at weekends.
If you tend to make a number of calls. 1899 is better in the weekdays.
3p connection and 10p a min calls at peak/evening,3p a min at weekends.PF.0 -
I am in the process of switching my CPS to JustDialSaver, and their rates to mobiles provided of course you have a 20 minute conversation are capped at 20p for 20 minutes weekdays off peak then normal rates apply, O2 10p pm, Orange = 10p pm, T Mobile = 7.8p pm, Vodaphone = 5.8p pm , 3 = 12p pm. Weekend rates are capped at 15p for a 20 minute call then normal rates apply O2 & Vodaphone 3.4p pm, 3 = 3.5p pm, Orange 5.5p pm, T Mobile 6p pm.

I would proceed with caution Coldsteel i was reading earlier on the google uk telecom pages, that this company was bouncing e-mails. I know for a fact that onetel who run this product are downsizing there product range.PF.0

I changed to OneTel CPS some time ago to get free weekend calls (I missed the free evening and weekend offer). A while later, I went online and checked how many weekend calls we had actually made and I found that, on average, it was less than 30 calls per month. So we were saving a massive 15p per week or thereabouts!
Yes, it was worth it - pays for half a Saturday newspaper once a month. Now I've just got to find a shop that'll sell me the half I want.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

30 calls @ 2p per call = 60pI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

But 60p divided by 4 gives 15p (Heinz was saying roughly what the price difference per week was based on 30 calls per month).
BTW, how do you get these smilies within text? In this post, I copied yours but how do you insert them if you don't have one to copy? Maybe I should be using the Advanced editor instead of the quick reply.0
