Can anyone recommend a good, value for money caravan insurer?
We are thinking of purchasing a caravan around the 6.5K mark and I want to scope out insurance prices to be prepared.
Thanks in advance for replies and assistance.

E&LCaravan insuranceI found these people the cheapest when I looked
They are usually closely followed by Bakers of Cheltenham.
E&L will usually negotiate/undercut if if you get a quote from someone else first so try Bakers first Online Touring Caravan Insurance QuotationMy weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Thanks. Someone else recommended Caravan Guard over E&L. I am a first time caravan insurer so I want to get it right and save money too!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

I'm certain I got a quote from Caravan Guard, recognise the webpage but obviously it didn't attract me at the time and I can't remember what it was so I really can't comment. It all seems to be money down the drain if you never claim but I suppose it's a lot of money to write off if you do need to claim so I cough up each year. One point worth remembering for this time next year. Caravan yearly depreciation is significant and so every year you need to ask your insurance provider what the current Glasses guide price is for it as generally they only pay out the current value although of course they will accept a premium for a higher value. No point in my mind paying for anything you cannot collect on so when the send the renewal quote for the same value van as last year I always check the caravan replacement value and reduce the amount insured to that amount which then has a knock on effect on the premium.katskorner wrote:Thanks. I discovered with the House buildings insurance that doing it in my partners name reduced the premium as she is older than me. I don't know if it works for caravan insurance but I think next year, if I remember I'll get quotes in both names and see if having an older owner cuts the cost. Be useful to others if you posted back your highest/lowest quotes so others can see the potential savings. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program
