Hi peeps,

I got a phone call this morning from a lovely lady telling me my app had been successful:T:j and Ive been invited for an interview:D:D:D:D:D Only when I got the email with the instructions etc.....its turned out to be a TESTInvitation to test for Administration Officer (Birmingham city Council) :eek:.......

Does anyone know what this test may involve?????

Please help me if you can :beer::beer:

They will probably be standard numeracy and literacy tests, which are often in multiple choice format.

I'm sure you'll be fine ...

I'm currently tutoring someone for the Navy entrance tests, and their literacy covers spelling (pick the correct one), word connections (bike is to cycle, like car is to ...), and reading a small paragraph and answering questions on it. Numeracy covers basic addition, subtraction, multiplication etc, as well as fractions and percentages, and reading a graph.

Depending on your previous experience, it might be worth looking at the short tests on the GCSE Bitesize website for a bit of revision? x

It could be a standard literacy/numeracy test, but it could also be a test of your adminisrative skills, for example, using Word to produce a letter or Excel to produce a spreadsheet, an in tray exercise etc. If you are really concerned, you could telephone the named contact on the email and ask what the test will comprise of.

It would have been easier if the question came up in a test because you would have been able to select from, probably four, alternatives, not make it up!
