Hi my sister & I went to Golden Sands in Oct on a sun wknd. Lets say we wouldn't list it again. Admittedly she only lives 40mins from there and we were fortunately just going for a laugh. The pool isn't as big as it looks, the changing rooms were freezing and filthy. We didn't say past 9pm for the shows for our little ones going to bed. Our caravan whilst clean was cold, we couldn't get the cooker to work and had great fun phoning 'Wayne' in security each nite to light it. Whilst I haven't personally stayed there have you considered Thorpe Park in Cleethorpes? There is actually more to do around there now and its not much further up the coast.0

hi just like to say there was a group of us (8 adults + 7 kids) 15 in total that all went to hemsby in norfolk last year in july and all had a great time when i first walked into complex i thought oh no didnt like the look of the dining area (as im a very fussy eater) but when we went for our tea it was lovely we ended up there every morning for our breakfast and most nights for tea as we went into great yarmouth and had tea out there a couple of times. both my sons were 12 +14 and they had a great time the other kids were younger and enjoyed it too theres shows on at night for them all i would reccomend it infact were thinking of going back this year.
hope this helps.0 -
Hi, I stayed at Wild Duck Haven site last June, and we had a lovely time. The setting is great, does not feel like a caravan park, as it is set in amongst woodland. I have never been to a Centreparc but from what I have seen of them in brochures/adverts, Wild Duck compares quite well. Even though there were plenty of families staying, judging by the numbers in the clubhouse at night, it never felt packed when you walked around the site. The pools are plenty good enough for what they are intended for, ie, swimming and splashing around in. They do a sports club - my boys joined in Football Coaching sessions. All in all, a lovely site in lovely settings.
Oh, and Gorleston beach is lovely, free parking too.
Oh, and another thing, the beach at Hemsby is one of the very best I have seen, complete with lazy sand dunes to climb up and roll down, and Martello Towers half-submerged in the sand to explore. My family spent our last day there, and could barely tear ourselves away from the dreamy, fine, golden sands. There was even a little Seafood bar and Icecream hut, just perfect for a family day out at the Seaside, as enjoyed for generations in the time honoured traditional British way!keep smiling,
