when making the offer of 190k on a 210k we advised the agent that we couldnt decide between 2 properties and that we would leave it to fate i.e. whoever accepts our offer first will win etc
started at 190, rejected, upped to 195k, they wanted 200k, finally agreed 197k with the sofa thrown in - it was nice.
i hope it is a fair price, its a lovely property and if it all goes through, we will own a house with a name and not a number!0 -
do you feel 190 is a fair price for it? take into account (not sure on this though) 200 may push it into next stamp duty / council tax band..?
check with selling agent why they dropped the price, and if any offers already made/rejected..
but it cant hurt to offer low, but be [repared to get rejected as i reckon most houses are being valued at what they can realisitically get,in the current credit squeeze ..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0
