TalkTalk Directory

Hello all,

I looked in TalkTalk Directory and entered my mum's no ( i know she is on TalkTalk) message reads she is not a TalkTalk customer why not send her an email to join up etc.
I thought thats strange even though on my phone bill say free calls to that no.
So i did a test and entered my no. and lo and behold my no. is not registred.

So whats the point of TalkTalk Directory when it doesn't work?
i do like to enter new no. to check if they are TalkTalk customer if they are not then i use 11886 etc.

Fintan

Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
    They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").

You would have had the choice to be included in the directory when signing up

That is the BT phone book. Nothing to do with TalkTalk 'directory' this is just a way of finding if the number you are calling is a TalkTalk number.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

I wouldn't rely on the TalkTalk directory. I have been a TalkTalk customer for some time, and then all of a sudden in June/July last year the TalkTalk directory reckons I am not a TalkTalk customer, also when I check if my account it says I have been disconnected. I am still a TalkTalk customer and I haven't been disconnected, TalkTalk said they use two different systems and realise there are problems, yet still nothing has been done about it. Still at least people can still call me for free as the system that bills has the correct details.

I must be sad too then, as I do exactly the same, people I know are TalkTalk users I use TalkTalk those who are not I use 18866 if using my landline, though I usually use VoIP - https://www.voipbuster.com and make free calls to landlines, though if they are important calls (not that friends and family aren't important) that may last longer than an hour I use 18866 as it wouldn't be right getting cut off after an hour and have to re-dial.
