Could anyone suggest best/cheapest place to buy.
I believe they are a lot cheaper out there?
thanks all!

DS Lites are pretty much a flat $129.99 across the US (Best buy, Circuit City, Target, Etc.) plus applicable sales tax.
Florida is about 6% plus any local sales tax there might be.... So you are looking at $138.00 if there is no additional local tax.
Your CC company will likely convert that at £1.00 to $1.93 meaning it's going to be £71.50.
However..... You will need to buy a UK charger that's 110V / 240V (see ebay) ..... Which means you are looking at approx £80.00 all in at best.
So no HUGE saving, but it will mean you can get the new cobalt and black model or the ultra slinky and oh so grown up, crimson and black.

If you buy it from a Walmart if there is a problem you can take it into Asda here with your receipt0

thanks fo rthe updates folks. Its the crimson/black one that I want.
It's a Canadian version from what I know.
All savings are savings so in terms means I get a free game or a 25% saving which is very decent in my book. Best you get here is a £100 base unit in boring colour format.
Will avoid brain games as you mention "rikmartin" just to be safe - unless I can get a bundle special.
Thanks for the Walmart info "franklally" will look there first.

I bought 2 last week whilst in orlando from Best buy in the end. Initially had difficulty in obtaining any and had to return 3 days later when new stock was due in. The only colour available was pink which in my case didnt matter as they were for my 2 girls. None avaiable at Circuit city/wall mart/toys r us/ costco etc. all were 129.99 + tax at 6.5%. Looking on line the est availability was outside the orlando area.0

Can someone confirm that if you buy 1 in the US all you need is a UK charger for it? Apart from that the console is the same.
Thanks**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0 -

Thanks
Yes
Completely the same..
All you need is a new charger as the one supplied does not do both 110/240v
Games are cheaper, but some may have US based issues like the currency and date games with Brain Training which show $ and cents plus the US style date formatBe ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -

Just a quick idea to save a lot of driving and leg work pick up a Sunday paper,if in Orlando then you need the Sentinel. It will be huge about 3 Sunday Times worth, but in the middle you will have all the flyers with the offers for the major discounters for that week. The only main retailer that is not normally advertising is WalMart, but hey if you can suss Best Buy,Target,CompUSA,Circuit City aetc it might save a few hours.
Good Luck0 -
Why not just save the hassle and buy it from John Lewis for £80 delivered, the £20 discount from the Daily Telegraph is freely available on here and as well as it being the english version with the english charger you'll find it far easier to replace if it goes t*** up !!
